When you’re feeling anxious, it can be tough to motivate yourself to do anything. But there are some things you can do to ease your anxiety and get back on track. First, try to identify what’s causing your anxiety. If it’s a specific situation, like a work deadline or a looming family conflict, see if there’s anything you can do to diffuse the situation. If not, that’s OK – sometimes we just need to ride out the waves of anxiety and trust that they will eventually pass.
In the meantime, here are some other things that can help when you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety:
• Take time for self-care.
• Take care of your body by eating well, exercising regularly, getting enough sleep and taking care of any chronic health conditions.
• Get out into nature (or go somewhere with greenery).
• Spend time in natural environments because they have been shown to reduce stress levels and make people feel calmer.
• Practice mindfulness exercises like meditation or mindful breathing which can help clear our minds and focus our attention on the present moment instead of the past or future.
Hopefully, by doing following these things you can get back to your normal self.
